Breath; Forest
Mariart’s “Breath; Forest” channels the artist’s sensibility—once expressed through the figure of the urban woman—into a reflection on nature’s power to heal.
A woman steps away from the hurried rhythms of the city and enters the forest. She inhales the crisp air, feeling nature’s comfort permeate her being. The harsh asphalt gives way to soft earth, and the clamor of traffic is replaced by the gentle songs of birds.
Through its title, the work invites us to sense the act of breathing; through the artwork itself, it allows us to share in the forest she encounters. In that moment of pause—when both she and we catch our breath—we become one with the forest.
